Introduction to the Value of Beauty Alliance
At the beginning of 2024, the Value of Beauty Alliance was launched, aiming to unite key players in Europe’s beauty and personal care industry. This initiative seeks to enhance awareness of the sector’s importance while highlighting its positive contributions to both the economy and society across the continent.
Verescence’s Membership and Contribution
In December, Verescence, a leading name in luxury glass packaging solutions for the fragrance and cosmetics industries, proudly became an official member of this influential group. The Alliance also counts several prestigious companies among its membership, including L’Oréal, Beiersdorf, Givaudan, IFF, Kiko Milano, Ancorotti Cosmetics, Albéa, DSM-Firmenich, Puig, Fiabila, Patyka, Cosmetic Valley, and Capua 1880.
Thomas Riou, CEO of Verescence, expressed great pride in the company being the first glass packaging manufacturer to join this initiative. He emphasized the vital role that this alliance plays within the beauty ecosystem. Riou pointed out that the beauty and personal care industry generates an impressive annual revenue of EUR 29 billion. Moreover, it supports over 3 million jobs—both directly and indirectly—and invests EUR 2.35 billion each year in research and development. These figures highlight the sector’s significant impact on Europe’s economic and social fabric.
Collaborative Vision for the Future
The Value of Beauty Alliance invites participation from all entities within the European beauty value chain. It seeks to cultivate a spirit of collaboration among manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and researchers who share a common vision of innovation and cooperation. By coming together, these stakeholders aim to strengthen their collective influence and advance the future of the beauty industry.
