From December 5 to 7, 2024, the vibrant city of Mumbai hosted Cosmoprof India at the impressive Jio World Convention Centre.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone, showcasing a remarkable surge in participant numbers—both exhibitors and visitors alike.
Organized by BolognaFiere Group and Informa Markets, Cosmoprof India has clearly established itself as a major player in the beauty industry.
With attendance reaching 11,124, there was an impressive 27% increase in visitors compared to last year.
The enthusiastic crowd didn’t just hail from India; international participation included attendees from the UAE, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the USA, Russia, Italy, and South Korea, highlighting the event’s global reach.
Exhibitor Participation
The exhibition floor buzzed with activity, featuring a record 345 exhibitors that collectively represented over 700 brands.
This marked a striking 55% rise in exhibitor participation from the previous year, underscoring the growing interest in the Indian beauty market.
An impressive 57% of attendees were international, with notable delegations from Europe (34%), the Americas (9.5%), and the Asia Pacific (26.5%).
Among the most exciting aspects of this year’s show, 76% of the exhibitors participated for the first time, signaling a dynamic shift as global brands increasingly direct their attention to India’s robust beauty sector.
The exhibition space itself expanded significantly, covering 20,252 square meters, an increase of 68% from 2023, demonstrating the escalating demand for such an event.
Educational and Networking Opportunities
Cosmoprof India’s global allure was enhanced by the presence of nine pavilions representing various countries, including Australia, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, and the UK.
This diverse representation added layers of international flavor to the event.
To cultivate meaningful business interactions, the organizers rolled out specialized matchmaking initiatives.
This attracted close to 200 high-level executives and top-tier buyers, all eager to connect through exclusive B2B networking tools designed to maximize their experience.
Beyond the exhibition, the event provided attendees with a wealth of knowledge and engagement opportunities.
More than 350 stakeholders participated in 16 educational sessions under the banners of CosmoTalks and CosmoForum.
Renowned trend agencies, including Asia Cosme Labs, Beautystreams, and Fashion Snoops, contributed insights alongside prominent businesses like Bombay Shaving Company and Reliance Retail.
Noteworthy events included “One Shot” by on Hair, which captivated over 250 attendees with live hairstyling demos, while the World Massage Meeting emphasized the significance of massage and holistic treatments.
The highlight of the event was the Cosmoprof India and Cosmopack India Awards, expertly overseen by Beautystreams.
These awards celebrated innovation in the beauty sector and assessed the evolution of consumer habits.
Remarkably, this year saw a staggering 105% increase in award submissions compared to the previous year.
The evening of December 5th also featured a lively networking event, drawing over 400 guests.
The ambiance was electrified by the ‘Runway by Cosmoprof India’—a Fashion Beauty Show, artfully curated by designers Paras and Shalini from Geisha Designs.
